We are in the very privileged position to work with the Portsmouth Parent Board by providing them with support and facilitation. This excerpt from the latest annual report tells you all about the Board.

‘We are a group of passionate parents who work closely with, but independently of Portsmouth City Council . We act as a link between the community and Children and Young People’s services. We understand the ups and downs that come with parenting and want to make sure all voices are heard and considered. In order to make services the best they can be it’s vital that we know what works for you and for the community.

We meet altogether at our monthly board meetings to discuss projects and listen to guest speakers from services across the city. We like to get out and about in our local community to find out how parents are feeling and their views on particular subjects. We also circulate surveys and run focus groups on various issues to gather opinions. All this data and information is used when we attend strategic council led meetings. It allows us to bring a different parental perspective that professionals may not have considered.’
