We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity to try and break isolation for Navy and Marine families.
Home Visiting
Any family with a child aged under 12 who has a Royal Navy or Royal Marines serving family member can be referred or refer themselves. A coordinator will then be touch and can arrange weekly support from a volunteer who will offer practical and emotional support.
Nurturing Programme
Starting in April, a 10-week Nurturing Programme will be beginning for navy families on a Tuesday morning. Self referral’s can be made to this project and is designed to alleviate social isolation whilst giving parents the tools for a nurtured and empathetic home.
Stay & Play
Every Tuesday morning at Cockleshell Community Centre there is a free group for navy parents to attend with their children. this gives a space for parents to meet others whilst the children enjoy weekly activities and play.
