Home-Start Portsmouth are taking part in the Christmas Challenge to raise £5,000 in just 1 week!
These funds will be used for our For Families’ Futures project.
For Families Futures will aim to raise overall awareness of Home-Start Portsmouth and increase our reach to families over the city of Portsmouth.
The pandemic has impacted the lives of vulnerable families significantly and children already at risk of poor outcomes have struggled the most. Families already facing struggles, emotionally, mentally, and financially for example, are now feeling isolated and facing new challenges, all which are having adverse effects on children.
We will expand our services to reach the increase in demand form families who need our help.
We aim to recruit and train new volunteers to assist in the reach of our services, whilst endeavoring to recruit from more diverse background at the forefront of recruitment. Increase reach to families across the city who are in need of our support and may not yet have accessed our services. Support parent’s wellbeing and alleviate their isolation whilst developing their confidence in their parenting skills, by offering our parenting programmes and groups. Raise overall awareness of Home-Start Portsmouth to increase our reach to families.
Donations to For Families’ Futures will be generously matched by The Big Give’s Champions Four Acres Trust during the campaign, meaning your money can support twice as many families.
